About

Modern Works design and build highly crafted architecture and interiors. We combine our love of modernism with a particular interest in construction and detail.

Based in East London our team of architects and makers offer a complete service from concept design to manufacture and completion.

We have our own joinery workshop where we create unique pieces and can call on local artisans to produce elements in materials such as stone and metal. We specialise in many types of designs and finishes with each item made to exact requirements.

About Us

Modern Works is a collective of architects and makers who specialise in creating thoughtful residential and interior design projects. We design and build each project directly, borne out of our desire to combine the activity of construction with the art of design. Our ideas are explored through our response to the existing environment, the production of drawings and material exploration in our East London studio and workshop.

Making homes is a serious endeavour, but we believe that it should also be enjoyable for all involved. We enjoy working closely with both our expert suppliers and craftspeople, as well as like-minded clients to come up with an original design. Our team offers a tailored service from initial concept design through to manufacture and installation.
